The fix has a name that sounds far more intimidating than it is: hyperfocal distance. Strip away the jargon and it’s simply the focus point that packs the most of your scene into acceptable sharpness at once — the trick that lets landscape photographers hold a crisp foreground and a crisp distance in the same frame. What hyperfocal distance actually means

Hyperfocal distance is the closest distance you can focus at while the far horizon still looks acceptably sharp. The problem is that depth of field extends behind your focus point too, and there’s nothing behind infinity to use. Here is the good news: for the vast majority of landscapes you never need to calculate anything.
